My name is Lee Townsend, and I am the founder of Mena Musical Masters. Alongside our dedicated partners, we are committed to supporting those who are most vulnerable—those who, through no fault of their own, are facing stress and mental health challenges that could impact them long into their adult lives.
As someone who has lived with CPTSD most of my life, I see now how strong leadership could have helped me succeed sooner in life by getting the help a person needs after experiencing trauma. Although I am functional and successful in my career, I understand that this is not the case for everyone. However, I believe it can be. PTSD and CPTSD do not have to define a life of pain or struggle. Instead, they can be the catalyst for growth and healing.
Majesty for a Day is an event designed to show foster children love, appreciation, and support from the community around them. It’s an opportunity to equip them with resources, advocate for their future success, and inspire them to pursue career paths early on to ensure they can thrive in life. This event will also encourage them to accept help and recognize that there are more adults who love and care for them than those who have hurt them. For many of these children, experiencing love and kindness outside of their caregivers is something they’ve never known.
Our goal is to raise $50,000, with every penny going directly toward supporting these children. Below is a breakdown of how the funds will be used:
